The Eden Chamber of Commerce has been serving its members and the business community as the voice and advocate for excellence in business development and economic growth since 1955. The Chamber provides leadership, business networking, information and education to more than 450 members in the area. The Chamber is a visionary, pro-active, results-oriented organization working for Eden and Rockingham County's long-term economic vitality and quality of life.

The Eden Chamber of Commerce is not a department of the city, county, or state or federal government; it is not a civic club or professional society. It is not a social service, welfare or charitable institution.
- Acts as your salesperson everyday as we promote the Eden area. This includes maps, brochures, guides and
directories that are readily available.
- Validates that you are an involved business, working to make Eden and Rockingham County
a better place in which to live and work and live.
- Keeps you informed of monthly membership gatherings and other social events through
the Chamber monthly newsletter, The Voice of Business.
- Promotes our local travel industry through a partnership between city government,
business and the Partnership for Economic Development and Tourism.
- Conducts your training when we sponsor or partner to provide seminars and
workshops addressing a host of employer-business related issues.
- Becomes your voice when needed to represent the business community on city, county and state issues.
- Helps impact your future by involving participants from an array of professions in many hours of
planning and working to shape the future of the Eden area.
- Answers your mail and telephone by responding to thousands of letters and calls each year that ask about the Eden area.
The Eden Chamber of Commerce serves as a clear and strong voice for its 450+ members in Eden and Rockingham County. From small businesses and individuals to large corporations, the members rely on the Chamber to represent their needs, concerns and hopes in this era of change.
The Chamber is lead by a 13-member board of directors. This board represents all sectors of our membership, from government, small business, corporate, non-profits, to retirees. Throught the board, members have channels of communication to share their ideas and their input. They will also have geographic representation through our upcoming ambassador program.
Each of the 30 volunteer Ambassadors will be assigned a group of members in close physical proximity. Throughout the year, the Ambassador stays connected and attuned to localized issues impacting the group. This is the team that will be the eyes and ears of the staff and leadership.
Members are also encouraged to connect with one another. Networking is often cited as one of the best Chamber benefits. With networking in mind, the Chamber hosts six signature events each year followed by morning coffees, Fridays @ Five After Hours, seminars, a Governmental Issues Luncheon, Administratives Professionals Day Luncheon, and so much more!
In January the organization hosts its Annual Meeting, followed in March by the Annual Spellin' Bee and in May with the popular and beneficial Business Expo, a business-to-business trade show featuring approximately 100 exhibitors. Limited only by space, this event is the hottest ticket in town. In August the Chamber hosts the Annual Rubber Duck Regatta and in September we hold our Annual Golf Outing, which always proves to be a great time. In November our nwest event, A Taste of Eden, will be conducted.
The Eden Chamber of Commerce, along with our Tourism Development Authority and the City of Eden, is taking a relatively new direction in efforts to promote one of Eden's greatest resources - our two rivers. The venture should help improve economic needs as well as quality of life needs, both of which are very important aspects of the Chamber.
Your Chamber is continually implementing new programs and activities to fit the needs and wants of our membership. I challenge each of you to get involved with at least one program or event. They say: If you tell them they forget; If you show them, they remember; If you involve them, they finally understand.
